It's Driver.

You're absolutely right about Bane, of course. Somehow, in my excitement, I had forgotten about the concept art of the pike.

No, unless they have decided to change Bane's weapon (which, since the pike never appeared in the show, I suppose is theoretically possible), then I gather that the lightsaber we saw in the teaser must have belonged to another.

I do imagine that it's ancient, though. I think the instability in the blade, taken with the Earthly medieval look, is meant to impress that much upon us.

Who knows, maybe it's not only Revan's mask, but his Sith lightsaber, as well?

Now, if you wanted a completely random, old-fashioned EU suggestion, I'd throw the name of Tulak Hord out there and see if it sticks. Come on, the personal weapon of the being purported to be the greatest Sith lightsaber duelist of them all? Which Sith collector worth their salt wouldn't want to own that?

Anyway, non-canon. It'll never happen. But Hord was a character I always wanted to learn more about.

I agree... I am a die hard GoT fan and just watching the movements of the person, it looks like her....

 

First time I saw it I thought Driver. I still think Driver. Also, evidence points to it being him. As for who the character is, I think it's a Sith Apprentice.

 

I think it is Driver and that he is a Solo.

 

I'm a little irked by articles I've read simply calling the character a "Sith Lord."

We don't know it's a Sith. Could be...yes I suppose. But it's gotta be something different/deeper than that.

 

Driver because that shot confirms the spy claim about him.

Mark Hamill? That's hilarious, Mark Hamill wishes he was that skinny again. This person has a skinny lanky build. I'm thinking its Driver but I have a feeling TFA will try to pull some switcheroo's.

She may be slim but she's tiny. This person was over 6ft tall for sure. It's Driver

So what if Driver is also playing multiple roles? Maybe he is Solo's son (X-Wing suit) and has a facial mo-cap for the villain (I am NOT saying Plagueis, am I? LOL). Now that would be the ultimate JJ misinformation campaign. Imagine how early on it has been leaked that Driver plays the villain. Later it was surmised that Driver is Solo's son that follows his EU counterpart in falling to the dark side. Then there is a spy pic showing Driver at the rebel base, donning an X-Wing flightsuit and a report that Driver fights Ridley and Boyega.... Ultimate deception...

 

Considering the new lightsaber is a Sith relic, and Adam Driver is supposed to be playing a a collector of these... I'd say it's definitely him.

But I love to be proven wrong on stuff like this.

 

I think it's Driver, but I think the "voice" is talking to Driver at one point in the movie. Is Driver the apprentice, I would bet he is, but as others have said, there's more to it than meets the eye, so to speak.

Is Driver a Sith/ or Sith apprentice?...again don't know.
Is he practicing the Sith Arts? It sure seems like it, but why?

If he is a Solo and a Sith, again, but why is he doing this?
If he is ONLY a Sith/ Sith apprentice, who is his Master? Andy Serkis' character a Sith or an Inquistor? Is he Plagueis?
Where is Domhnall Gleeson? We haven't seen him. Is HE Luke's son? Does he know that?

Daisy is a Solo, at least that's what I've read on here from the insiders who actually know.

I'm wondering what the big twist JJ has in store for us.

I've always wanted a saber duel in a foresty or snowy area. Now we might get both
