I know the girl is Jaina. But who is the man? Kyp? Ganner?

 

No one really knows. I'd guess Kyp, who's supposed to be a pretty thin, pale guy, because Ganner I think would be bigger than that.

 

What book is that supposed to be the cover for?

This is the cover for Ruin 2. (Most SW books in Japan have two parts.)

This looks like the Corran we saw in other sources, esp. Family Ties, IMO. Maybe the artist forgot to take into account that he was old (well... in his fourties, as Luke - and that guy on the cover could well be in his fourties) and bearded (I didn't remember that one). But I guess it could be Kyp, too...

EDIT : AAANNNDDD : the book is definitely centered around Corran, so it'd be logic to be him.

 

is not kyps hair black and does not he have a white streak.

 

I think it is more likely Kyp, being as if you look at all the other covers, facial hair is taken into account

Okay, it's not Corran. I just checked it. Black hair, with a beard slowly turning white.

EDIT : It ain't Kyp, either, because he's dark haired, too.

EDIT 2 : And it ain't Ganner, because he's got jet-black hair, and a moustache & goatee.

Hum... Maybe Wurth, but I don't remember him having a big role in Ruin.

I therefore go back to my initial opinion. It's Corran. The artist draw him while looking at previously established EU sources, but forgot to make him look older...

NB : I read the descriptions in Onslaught. Maybe Corran dyes his hair and shaves himself between Onslaught and Ruin...

Yup, but since Dark Tide is essentially about the almighty Corran (Hello Mr Stackpole ), and since that guy is drawn in big on this cover, it's most likely Corran, not Kyp.

 

Maybe it's a very bad illustration of Luke?

LOL. I still vote for psychotic Luke. I was at a FanForce party last weekend and they had a "concept art" of Luke, looking like a cross between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Cousin It. This could be an equally heinous crime.

 

If I remember correctly, Wurth has lighter hair, and Kam has very short-cropped hair and Bruce Willis' features and build

 

And Luke is on the other side of the drawing, so it ain't him... No, it's definitely Corran. (Or maybe Wurth, but I doubt it)

 

The guy looks too young to be Corran and the profile doesn't really correlate well with the one on the cover of 'I, Jedi'. But then again this is a Stackpole novel so maybe it could be. Dunno!
