See I thought Joey got too stupid in the second half of the show's run. If they needed a laugh they just pushed him a little closer to simpleton.

Yeah, Joey's character was perfect for about the first 6 seasons... the last 4 he was too out there. like telling Ross to punch him repeatedly and ducking when it happens... then punching Ross in the face to show him that it's a natural instinct to duck. I mean, it was funny, it was just too over the top.
