FF:WA Who is your fave SW character..........

Found a thread like this hidden at the bottom of the pile, thought I would dust it off and give it a new life.

So, Who is your favourite SW character - and why ???

 

Have to be Obi-Wan Kenobi--described by George Lucas himself as a mixture of Gandalf and a samurai warrior; what more could you ask?

More seriously, it's probably because Alec Guiness's performance really made the role, full stop. Ewan McGregor is making a valiant attempt at channelling Sir Alec, and while his performances have been nice, they have been a tad wooden.

I don't vote for Yoda mostly because he's either a puppet or a CGI, depending on what decade you pick.

And who else ya goona vote for? Luke? Well, I guess it's comforting to know being a whiny kid runs in the family...

 

I'd have to go with Han Solo. He represented a character who was brave, not entirely goody goody and had plenty of humour. The prequels haven't given us anything to compare with Han.

 

Chewie!! I just want him to give me a big hug.. and live! I like lots of characters, but I think Chewie because I liked him when I was little and I wish I had a wookie friend. ^.^>

 

Have to agree on chewie. Besides - you can't have Han without Chewie!

No, he isn't. Go back to your AOTC DVD and take a look at the scene as Obi-Wan is walking through a massive hall to see Master Yoda with the younglings. Pay attention to large-beaked species in the background.

wookies are cool but i'd have to say the best star wars charecter is han solo from his brillient actinging in episode 5 p.s. for people that read star wars books micheal.a.stackpole is the best writing about a x-wing series!

I'd have to agree, Han Solo would have to be more my favourite character, even though I'm more towards the Imperial side of things (which I have no idea why)
