Maybe Krell got so mean because all the Younglings made fun of him and lightsaber practice. They called him Ping-pongo and teased him his brain was the size of the ping pong ball. Then they would steal his shorts to run them up flagpoles.

i doubt that.... he probably was kicking all of their asses in lightsaber practice and they all were his servants

Savage Opress is cool for the some of the same reasons Darth Vader was cool in Ep. IV. He has a great look for a villain, and fights with a red lightsaber and the dark side of the Force. Also, overall I feel he's one of the best established original characters, we've really seen him go on a journey as a person in the show from Monster to where he is now.

Unlike Jabba, Ziro was creative and actually had a personality.

To me Ziro is borderline campy. I can buy into Jabba more. In Ep. VI, anyway. Not a fan of CGI Jabba.

I hate the voice, but I can't help but think that I hate the fact that he speaks English moreso than the feminine voice. If he spoke Huttese like Truman Capote (as ridiculous as that sounds) I'd probably think it was weird but wouldn't really care. But that he speaks English/"basic" was not something I was prepared for. I still don't quite understand the refusal to use subtitles - Lucas has referred to the films themselves as children movies, and that didn't stop him from using subtitles.

But even if they absolutely must get by without them, they could at least use workarounds like protocol droids or simply making it obvious as to what a character is saying by the response a character gives in basic.

If you cover up Greedo's subtitles in ANH, you still get the idea of what he's saying just by Han's responses.

I accidentally watched the entirety of District 9 like that, not realizing there were supposed to be subtitles. There was an awkward scene here and there, mostly short exchanges between two aliens, but when I finally realized my error and went back and watched it with the subtitles, I saw that I had a pretty good grasp of everything, even without them.

My favorite TCW OC is Bane, closely followed by Hondo. I really liked Rex the first couple of seasons but I feel like the show hasn't done much with him since then.

One of the biggest draws for me, when I first got into Clone Wars, was the abundance of new Neimoidians (and a Duros! :)). Naturally, my favourite new original characters are Mar Tuuk, Lok Durd, Sib Canay and his aide, and, of course, Cad Bane.

I also have a fondness for Duchess Satine, Mee Deechi, Hondo, and Ahsoka.

It is a good stretch of Corey Burton's voice and acting range, I will admit.

That's on of Corey Burton's familiar voices actually. Anybody remember Stegmut the dinosaur in Darkwing Duck?

Gregor is on my list now. Not quite beating out Cut, Rex, and Fives. Really he's a clone character we've been needing for a while since he's a big contrast to those guys. Is all of their fates inescapable and will it be the same in the end? Gregor makes it seem so. What's really sad and troubling is despite the fact Gregor seems like a text book clone, exactly the Kaminoan sales pitch he still has a conscience. He's still got a sense of kindness and what is right. He was going to get Gascon food when he was starving and eating garbage. He could of said "solve your own problems" but he was going to help without provocation and considering he has basically nothing (granted he doesn't realize this and is content with it). Not the first time I've seen this. Ponds did the same thing. Then ofcourse there is Waxer and Boil.
