Poll Idea by Paradise in Naboo
I would've said Rachael Ray if this question had been asked a year or two ago. But these days, she looks and acts very different. And what's up with her scratchy voice?
Anyways, I voted for Giada. Her recipes are great and her show has some gorgeous cinematography.
I voted for Alton Brown. His shows are the only ones that are watchable and entertaining even when the food isn't appealing or appetisizing to me.
Almost voted for other for Morimoto, though
I voted 'other'. My favorite is Marc Summers. His Unwrapped shows are awesome.
Other: The Food is the star, screw the chefs....
I am an Alton Brown fan.
I don't really watch Food Network... but in the summer I go over to my brother's a lot becuase he's always grilling something yummy, using one of his recipes.
Isn't Rachael Ray the one who advocates tipping 8% for really good service?
I picked Giada, if only because she looks like the Italian version of Natalie Portman.
Rachael Ray is a close second.
Ha, I thought I was crazy for thinking that, but now I've seen a lot of people notice the resemblance.
Do the Iron Chefs count, specifically Chen Kinichi (sp). If so that's my other vote.
As far as Rachel Ray. She gets on my nerves. I tried watching 30 minute meal and couldn't take her personality or the catchphrases.
Chairman Kaga and his Iron Chefs.
^ Ditto. ^
my fave is alton brown
Tie between Chairman Kaga and Iron Chef Morimoto. Either way, it's other for me.
Bobby Flay is my boy. Emeril, Alton, and Giada are tied for second, and Batali is a close third.
P.S. I will marry Giada someday
Alton Brown is great (He reminds me of the "She blinded me with science" guy), but my heart belongs to Rachel Ray .
I love Alton Brown, certainly my favorite show on the channel, but decided to give my vote to the best chef of the bunch, Mario Batali, by far.
Emeril is also a very good chef, but took the whole "show" part of Emril Live way to far. He throws so much Bam into everything I wonder whether the stuff he makes during the show (not the pre-prepared stuff he serves the audience) is actually edible.
Flay is also a great chef, actually the only one of the group whose restaurant (Mesa Grill) I've eaten at. The food is awesome, and the margeritas are to die for.
Why isn't Jamie Oliver on the list? He's the most successful internationally.
And Rachel Ray must die. She is pure evil, the Newman of Food Network. That fat southern woman, too.
I like Paula Dean, and the new Iron Chef cast is slowly growing on me, but it will never the originals.
I'm torn between a few of them but I'll have to go with Paula Deen.
i like the take home chef on tlc
