Even though she's not the most well known, I still get a great laugh watching Molly Shannon play Mary Katherine Gallagher.

 

No doubt in my mind it's Will Ferrel. His abilities as Alex Trebek on Celebrity Jeopardy made me laugh so hard I'd almost cry

 

Yikes. How can you have the mediocre likes of Rob Schneider on that list and exclude the mightiest of all, John Belushi?????

I agree with you...but I didn't want to have too many cast members from one paticular era. I wanted to spread it out instead of having half from the original cast, which was probaly the best. I hate Scheider as much as the next guy, but hey so people may like him.

 

I couldn't just pick one, so I chose other. Most of them have their moments when they are just hilarous!

Dana Carvey and Phil Hartman carried SNL for at least 5 years and clearly should be on the list along with Murray and Belushi.

Chris Rock is my favorite. Eddie would have been my favorite, but he isn't funny anymore.

 

Other: Bill Murray, by far. Phil Hartman would probably be a distant second.

 

You could probably fill up another census poll with castmembers not on this list. From this list, I'd go with Chevy Chase.
