In the movies, it's been Padme ever since 2005 when I first watched AOTC.
In the EU, it's Allana.
Movies my favorite are Luke and Yoda. In the EU it's Mara and Ben!!!
It was Luke when I first star Star Wars in 1977 when I was 4 years old, and it's still Luke today, although General Grievous is a big part of my website, because of my slogan "Your autograph will make a fine addition to my collection."
1. Luke Skywalker
He's my favorite movie hero. He can fight the Galactic Empire, save the Galaxay and could withstand the Eye of Sauron.
2. Darth Vader
Everyone knows him, even those who never have seen Star Wars.
3. Jaina Solo
Well, she's the hottest girl ever.
In the movies R2-D2 or Luke. In the EU Ben or Mara!!
When you're right, you're right.
Only other one that compares is Marasiah Fel! ;D
As far as favorite character I'm a bit torn as of late, between Ben Skywalker, Kyp Durron, Corran Horn, and Cilghal.... =(
Can my favorite be a group of people, and not a specific person? If so, Emperor's Shadow Guards. If not, I'd have to say Kir Kanos.
Torn between Obi-Wan Kenobi, Corran Horn, Luke Skywalker, and Ben Skywalker.
First and foremost: Han Solo. He's my one true love, the untouchable man.
That being said, Garik "Face" Loran. I would do bad things to this man. He's gorgeous, hilarious, clever, and destructive. A proper Wraith.
Just joined the boards! First post could not be more appropriate. Mara and Thrawn. These characters were the beginning to my EU addiction.
Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader,Darth Bane, Revan, Kyle Katarn, Darth Krayt.... the list goes on.
So hard to pick one!
uuummmm well the EU character that I find myself quoting the most Darth Krayt. From his life as Jedi to his life as Sith Lord, he is a very captivating and commanding character.
Another one of my faves is Jacen/Darth Caedus, for pretty much the same reasons, but also by the time of DNT he had transcended being a Jedi, and destroyed it all by following in the footsteps of Vader. It was tragic but he made the choice and wasn't manipulated like Anakin so you can't really feel sorry for him.
Tenel Ka, always and forever for me.
OddBall the clone pilot from Episode 3.
(newbie's first post)
Luke Skywalker, with Anakin Solo a close second.
My favorite character is Chewbacca because he is awesome seems like an awesome Wookiee to be around. My second favorite is Wicket the Ewok. If I'm just picking a character out of the EU it would have to be Ben Skywalker.
Movie- Luke Skywalker
EU- Mara Jade
Jacen Solo. Does this mean that I have to tell bad jokes to Striker?
1) Darth Sidious/Palpatine: Ian McDiarmid was the perfect actor for this role, never once did I find myself thinking that someone else could have even come close to doing the job he did. The character was a bit creepy, and after the hype that Vader got in the first two films it would seem hard to believe that another Sith could be fully introduced that would make it believable to be superior to him, yet the Emperor was the perfect villain. This continued through the PT, and the brilliance of the character became even more obvious.
To this day he remains #1 in my all time favorite villains list, fittingly, it is his apprentice that fills out the #2 slot for all time favorite villains.
2) Darth Vader: Iconic, intimidating, and fuel for the imagination. I first saw Empire Strikes Back at a drive in theater when it was first released, I was about 9 years old I think. Fell in love with Vader right then and there, kinda creepy I know, but he was the man.
3) Obi Wan Kenobi: Mostly because his name was Old Ben, and my name is Ben. I liked the way he was portrayed in A New Hope, and was an instant fan. Ewan McGregor solidified the character even more, his portrayal as young Kenobi was a resounding success for me, while many other actors/characters didn't seem to always hit it off 100% of the time Ewan in contrast made Kenobi one of the strongest characters of the PT films.
Honorable mentions: Darth Maul, Grand Moff Tarkin, Chewbacca, R2D2, Han Solo, Yoda and Lando Calrissian.
It is clear that all of my favs are from the movies, but hey, I grew up on the movies in the years that they were being released and were literally the biggest cinema productions of the time. The EU does a great job of extending the legacy, but the films (OT films in particular) will always be my first SW loves because I was young and saw the original releases in the big screen (except A New Hope, too young to see the original release of that one ).
A few other characters I like :
Luke Skywalker. Has always been my favorite character, since childhood. I feel the need to also give a shout out to Boba Fett and Corran Horn.
It's a tie between Ben and Luke Skywaler.
