Nute Gunray is awesome. I love the accent. Next would probably be Grievous...

I'm going to say Dooku. But, for the reason that he taught Anakin how to be more arrogant. During their duel Anakin seemed fine to just battle. But, Dooku took it another step further. Tunting him with words.

So flash to Epi.III, IV, V, VI. Vader is very brash and arrogant as he is baiting both Obi-Wan & Luke.

    Has to be Nute!

There just isn't enough Nute Gunray merchandise out there.

If I had to pick a Sith though, it'd be Maul. I just love the look of his character. I love everything about Maul. Ray Park is a great chap, too!

Well it looks like it's overwhelming for Maul and Dooku/Grievous battling for second (though I didn't spend much time counting so I could be off)

I'd still say my favorite tokenistic bad guy would have to be Maul, he epitomizes the term "token bad guy" and he does a damn good job of it.

For me, Grievous takes a very close second. I hate to gush but I just think he's fantastic.

    I'm gonna go with Maul.

None of these other bad guys even come CLOSE to Maul.

And Grievious was a joke. Pure and simple.

Jango Fett by far. There was a time, in 2002 via AOTC release, when I was just obsessed with him. Grievous comes in at a not-so close second. I think that an inroduction to Grievous at the tail-end of AOTC would have given him more of a characterization arc. Darth Maul never eally impressed me, nor did Zam.

I think your the first person to even mention Zam in this thread. [face_laugh]

Sometimes it helps to put a "IMO" in front of statements like this. ;)

Though I'm only saying that because I'm in love with the man...err robot... I mean... cyborg..thingy.

Nute Gunray; he's just plain amusing.

"Hi, I'm control of a gigantic interstellar shipping company...and I have all the maturity of a five-year-old!"

    That's Nute :p

    CLose second: Grievous.

Gotta love guys with bizarro accents.

    Darth Maul, without a doubt.

None of Jango's overconfidence, none of Dooku's idealism, none of Grievious militarism, just pure hatred, evident by the final duels in TPM. He is a the embodiment of a true sith apprentice.

I actually liked Greivous better than I thought I would. Dooku is a nicely fleshed out character, as is Jango Fett.

I actually must give Nute Gunray his respective dues. He was one of the most consistent PT villains, by his presence in all three films. Truly a tragic character...destroyed by his naivety and, I guess, greed.

I dunno, he always bothered me. Something about a weak, weak bad guy just boils me so I guess he did do a great job!

Now is he a token bad guy? I don't think so. One could make the argument that he was a token bad guy in TPM because he took on a much more minor role in the following films.

Then again, he does sort of oooooze that token bad guy feeling. Perhaps Nute is the one exception to the rule?

Either way he was a wuss.
