    Jefferson was great, but it really has to come down to Franklin or Washington. I read a few books about Washington recently (Joe Ellis' bio; 1776 - both excellent), and his importance cannot be overstated.

    But I voted for Franklin. What a fascinating life.

    Franklin. He was smart, a ladies man, and cool. Not to mention he's on the highest bill in the US.[face_mischief]
