Who knows how to make your left arm from the shoulder blade to finger tip to look like its cyborg, yet it can still move about like a real one. Can't be to much bigger then my average one, and no I am not cutting it off and getting a fake arm, I am not coutting off another limb for you guys (just joking)... PS Need to be cheap...

I saw someone at a con who painted a glove to look like Anakin?s mechanical arm as seen in the Clone Wars cartoon. It looked really good and seemed like a very ingenious solution. You may want to try something along those lines. How about starting with a long spandex sleeve that covers the whole arm? You could paint it and attached wires, tubes and other cyborg looking components like they did on Star Trek the Next Generation for the Borg. They accomplished a very good cyborg look with what seemed to be relatively simple and inexpensive means.

You post at 4:15am and get annoyed when no one has replied by 6:30am? That combined with your last post, and I doubt anyone is going to help you. Why should they?

Really, it's too bad you want to know about the left arm. I only know how to do the right arm. Sorry, I guess that's no help to you.......

Honestly, is 'netiquette just a word these days (kind of like manners is just a word)?

    1. Not everyone here, including the "regulars," check the board every day. Much less every few hours.

    2. Showing impatience with someone from whom you want a favor, especially someone you don't know, isn't likely to bring about the result you want.

    3. If your response to Skaught had been phrased more along the lines of "You're right. I'm just really eager to have this costume for Dragon*Con/Halloween/whatever, but my enthusiasm got out of hand..." then you'd be more likely to get asistance than telling him he's mean and then threatening to tattle on him.

    4. Now to the helping you out part. After a brief search, and I do mean BRIEF - I googled "automail arm tutorial" - I came across these:

    http://www.geocities.com/jenisteencantrell/Automail.html
    http://amethyst-angel.com/armormaking_automail.html

I suspect if you check out some of the cosplay sites you'll find even more.

A little more effort into grammar and punctuation makes posts a lot easier to read.
