Who pulled a better charade? Palpatine or Vader?

By this I'm asking if Palpatine was a better liar with his *peace and prosperity to the Republic* or Vader with his *yes master* hypocrite attitude towards the Emporer?

I have always pondered that

Vader lied to Palpatine, The Emperor didn't believe any of that. He is far too shrewd, intelligent, and experienced to believe his apprentice is completely loyal. No Sith is really loyal, that is why they have the rule of two.

In contrast, Sidious fooled the entire galaxy. All the Senators, Jedi, and people. That is gigantic, you can't rival that.

In terms of lying and deception? Palpatine -no contest...

 

vader is half robot, he is so dumb he can barly think for himself, he is all like, "yes master" and "as you wish" and " I have never felt his presense since...." he can't even finish a sentence!! we just walks away!! I always find that hilarious... ( and sorry, I might have quoted that wrong...)

palpatine just fills me with anger when I see him in revenge of the sith, being a liar, and pretend he is in pain becuase his cuffs are on too tight and all that... ( and sorry if there aren't any cuffs in rots, I don't remember if there are or not) and uh... what are we talkign about again? who is the better liar? its palpatine ofcourse, but vader and palpatine are both dumb. I like when palpatine says darth vader, he says dahth VADAH!!!

Agreed. Palpatine is full of deception and lies, rarely likes to get his hands dirty, he definately camouflaged himself well and fooled everyone. His masterplan obviously worked very well.

 

Tall cans in the air. Palpatine dumb nom way. He tricked the entire Jedi and republic. If any thing he is the smartest person in the galaxy. Vader is also not that stupid.

Palpatine, most definitely. Playing not only both sides, but multiple sides, catering to all different parties, and thus hoodwinking an entire galaxy. Pure political shrewdness. It's rather admirable, really.

 

Well, Vader is like the icon of Star wars, but it seems that he is yust a servant towards the emperor...

 

I'm going to have to say Palpataine,seeing as he passed off:

-Staying in office long,long after his term had expired.
-Blinded the whole Jedi Order, and had them asking ''Where is this sith lord?''
-Made Dooku believe he would be kept around.
-Stayed on both The Republic and the Trade Federation's side.
-Had many followers from the Senate
-Had Anakin lying to himself saying 'The Jedi's are traitors'
-Managed to get Padme and Anakin re-united
-Manged to get rid of both Obi Wan and Yoda while he turned the tides

Palp is a slick mofo.

Anakin just kinda said he was pledging himself to the sith order to save his wife, regretted it and after believing he killed her, just kinda gave up and served the Emporer.
