Hm... At first I thought the Republic would be best off in the hands of someone from the Skywalker/Solo family (either Luke or Jacen would do a good job IMO), so that's what I voted for. But then I started thinking that they're needed for other things right now and none of them really have time for that kind of stuff. So, after much careful deliberation, I must conclude that the best person for the job would be either Garm Bel Iblis (whatever happened to him, anyway? If he's dead, then I, um, retract this statement...), or Wedge Antilles.

 

I hereby start my campaign to be official Chief Of State for the NR (once a pesky little bothan is removed! HAHAHA...err..) Votw AT! He'll reduce tax's AND get rid of the vong!

 

Gavrisom is/was a Calibop. and yes, he was in the HoT duology.

i always kind of pictured him as a bipedal winged-horse looking creature.

 

I say that a new character comes along, who can totally take the Vong and the senate.

 

Grm Bel Iblis is still alive as far as we know. He is just retired.

 

Garm Bel Iblis should be older than Yoda by now... He was a senator when Han was a little kid! He's definitely older than Mon Mothma, anyway.

 

Yeah, but all those old guys (not counting Madine) in the Star Wars universe seem to be immortal. Besides, don't the folks in the GFFA have a longer lifespan than we do?

Yeah, I agree. I was kind of leaning towards Wedge, anyway...

 

Although I think Wedge would make a great head of state, I would actually have to put my vote for Talon Karde. He has the history of being able to convince people that his way of doing things is the right way. Not that Wedge doesn't have it, or doesn't have the experience to direct such a huge entity. Wedge has the military background, but Karde has the all around back ground.

Viqi Shesh. Not because she would be a good leader, but because it will keep things interesting.

To tell the truth, I can't think of anyone who's truly qualified. Maybe Wedge or Corran could handle things during the war.

 

I can't believe it took this long for someone to say Viqi Shesh. I hate her, but it's perfect. I mean, it's kinda obivous that's where she's headed. But Borsk is the pres you love to hate.
