I say Joss Whedon should be given the opportunity to write/direct a few episodes.

    Talk about dream jobs!

Well, that is, until you realize the magnitude of what your about to tackle. All the supposed criticism from the Force Net and everyone else starts seeping into your head about how aweful the scene you just typed on your screen really is. Then you realize you have deadline in 4 days to write the whole thing again- only to find out Lucas Film is on a shoe string budget making scrap your whole opening sequence....

I'm going to my safe little corner in a fetal position with my trousers on my head . The horror. The horror! ;)

No he shouldn't. He'd bring the show out on DVD then bring out and SE version and then a super ultra mega delux platinum edition and in any case George has said that he doesn't to be involved with the TV shows.

I think they might you use a variety of directors and writes for the Star Wars Live Action TV Series. I'd also like to see Joss Whedon involved in the series.

We don't know how involved in the first season GL is going to be. He just may be the Executive Producer.

Gene Roddenberry, but I hear he is dead...

I too have mentioned Joss Whedon in several other threads...

I also think that Brian Singer would be cool, but he has his hands full with the new Superman Returns Franchise...

Mark Hamil would be cool... he could direct and act in it... He could be an elderly Luke Skywalker clone from the future sent back in time to protect himself as an infant all terminator style!!

That would be perfect for EU lovers...

i think it would make sense to have him at least do that much. i wouldn't want him to write and direct every episode obviously but he should have some input and his opinion considered when the episodes are written

It should be me, and I'm serious about that. I'm confident I could make the series more than just Emmy-award quality.

I guess you could go interview for a writing job at Lucasfilms if you really want to.

Id either say Lucas for the first few episodes especially the pilot episode.

JMS from Babylon 5 series would be a great asset to the star wars franciase(spelling?)

either him or maybe Brian Singer from Xmen and now superman.

I doubt Bryan Singer would do it but I could see JMS doing it.
