Who Wars, 22 & 23 Aug, Newcastle upon Tyne

Who Wars is a Star Wars and Dr Who convention which will take place on Sat 22 & Sun 23 August at the Premier Inn, New Bridge St, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Star Wars part will take place on the Sat.

I'll be there on the Sat in costume, so if anyone fancies coming along and possibly going for eats afterwards (or have a BBQ weekend?) then come along!

Firstly I'm new here, so hello to everyone.

I'm seriously thinking about the Who Wars event, never been to one, so don't know what to expect.

Hi and welcome to the North boards, DarthDamn.

Who Wars is a new event to the North East, but if it has the same format as other events like this, then there's usually costumers, merchandise stalls, signings by actors from the films (for a fee!). There are often talks by the actors, but since this is a new event I don't know for certain if that will happen.

I might pop along for a little bit on the Saturday (I'm not costuming as mentioned previously) so it may be worth getting a feel for who's going, perhaps we can go for a drink/bite to eat afterwards?

 

I'd be up for coming along on the Saturday and going for a drink or food afterwards! Sure I can convince Richard to come along too if he's not working!

 

Sounds like a plan to me after a wander around the place.

I may have to also bring 'he who has small teeth and bites' though too....we'll see.

 

Most excellent....I'll probably get to Who Wars around 1.45pm.

Have a think if there's anywhere you'd prefer to go to eat/drink We've got plenty of time to decide yet.

I'll be there mate. And its a corporate perk. Customers only get the vouchers for orange wednesdays pizza express. And no luck getting hold of any BTW, so we may all have to pay full price
