Because at the time I considered them some of the most exciting, original contributions to the universe that the EU had ever endeavored. I remember buying Legacy #0, reading their description and seeing the concept art, shutting the book and wanting to, like, do a lap around my apartment.

Coleman Trebor was good because while the other Jedi on Geonosis wasted their lives and efforts in a useless battle against endless waves of droids, he actually tried to take out the enemy leadership. Too bad he was unsupported there.

I think Ikrit has a really good chance of making the new cannon cut...

Yes, they have been brought up, and it's also been called out as not being what the thread is about every time.

I forgot all about my boy Master Thon

So a hot-head with a crush on his boss daughter who can not do real investigation work; a Force trained strong willed princess and what I would call a rather standard later DH jedi, exept that he works for the Empire are the "most exciting, original contributions to the universe that the EU had ever endeavored"? Okej, to each his own.

    Why?

For the hell of it, and because he took a long and self destructive path for a good portion of his life before finally coming to terms with his past and accepting his path and destiny.

He's still young and has room for improvement, even though we'll never get anything new for him.

Are they a "who"? It is a real question, do an organisation count as a who?

And why do you consider them the "most exciting, original contributions to the universe that the EU had ever endeavored"?

"Best" as defined in the opening post. Who do you think best adhered to your conception of the Jedi ideal.

    Per Ghost:

"I have to say I love the "rogue" Jedi, like Qui-gon Jinn and Zayne Carrick. Wolf Sazen was cool too. I think they truly embodied the best ideals of the Jedi Order.. compassionate, going where the Force took them, even if they went against the hierarchy and had their own personal flaws. They were alive."

If you can justify your answer in those kind of terms, great. If this thread becomes a discussion, great.

If, on the other hand, this thread devolves into people just listing their "favourite Jedi" or the "coolest" or the "one I liked reading about the most" without elaboration then it'll end up being locked as a favourites thread.

Just so y'all know, moving forward. ;)

jedi ordeal. no a movie character. Anakin Solo maybe. really no eu character really held up the jedi ideal very well.
