Who was the robot in CloneWars?NOT Grievious

im talking about the one who was kind of like a jouster on a bike

and turned into that giant blob thing

at the end of the episode you could see the slime start to move again

just wondering who that was and if he will play a bigger role in the future(more cartoon episodes or ROTS)

 

His name is Durge who also plays a part in a few of the comics. He isn't a droid though, he's a Gen'Dai Bounty Hunter. He isn't in Episode 3 and although possible, probably won't be in season 3 either.

When the Clone Wars multimedia campaign was first planned, apparently Durge was going to have a much larger role (like Asajj Ventress - she's been in much more comics and books compared to Durge), but he suffered from what I believe is now known as "Poochie Syndrome" i.e. nobody liked him. Too bad, he had potential - I think the cartoon ruined his character

long ago when i first heard talks of a robot villain named general grievious i assumed this was him
until the last episode heh

How would Durge be in Grievous' place. He's not strong enough to kill eight Jedi, and he'd have to get to the other planet quickly.

I would imagine that when they were given the go ahead to introduce Grievious, they changed the plot of the final episode a bit.

 

i didn't think they should have killed durge so soon.

 

But Durge ain't dead yet...

 

I liked durge.

 

Durge will probably be in the new clone wars series next march.

 

I want info on the new series and screenies and pics and that!!!
