Who was your favourite Superman?

Christopher Reeve, without a doubt. Although the four most recent actors to play the role have done remarkable work.

 

Christopher Reeve. When I hear the name 'Superman', he's always the first that comes to mind.

 

The can be only on answer to that question: Christopher Reeve.

 

Chris Reeve is great as superman, but I think Tom Welling is the better Clark, just because he hasn't needed the costume yet to be superman.

 

Chris Reeve, no question for me. although I'm also a fan of Dean Cain as well.

Routh only because he fits in best with the ensemble not as much as the role, but for the film, he's great.

I've got a soft spot in my heart for Routh right now.

Any other day (and probably even a week from now) I'd say Reeve but today Routh gets my vote.

Christopher Reeve just is Superman to most of us, but he would have been very impressed and proud of Routh I think.

 

Christopher Reeves did an excellent job in portraying the character but I think Brandon Routh did a better job portraying Superman while Reeves did a better job with Clark Kent

 

Routh's Kent was horrible,Kent is as much physical acting as it is voice work. I still have to give Reeves the boost,he was an absolutely outstanding Superman. Routh was good but his inexperience as an actor showed.

Who to vote for, who to vote...

You see, all three of Christopher Reeve, Tom Welling and Brandon Routh get applause in my books. Reeve is iconic in his sense, and his Clark was humourous to see. Routh did an excellent job?his Superman was perfect and the highlight of the movie. Conor was right in what he said.

And then there's the wildcard of Welling. He has moments, I'll say that. And as someone mentioned, we haven't as of yet seen him in *the* suit. I'm starting to enjoy Smallville much more, so I'm going to toss my vote that way to boost it higher:

Christopher Reeve was the best Clark Kent, but Brandon Routh was the best Superman.
