Speculation Who/What DON'T you want to see in Epi. 7?

No horrendously awful dialogue

No dead end plot points (Sifo Dyas?)

No cellular biology & microscopic organisms

No more Tattooine

No 3rd variety of pig alien. 2 is enough

Star Trek tech was always supposed to be smooth and streamlined, at least Federation tech. And, in my view, they had as much of a "sleek and clean" look as was possible in the series and movies throughout the Trek history.

Star Wars has a more rugged look, and I guess they'll go mostly with that.

Anyway, if I had to cast a young Afro dude I would go with Chris Brown. He has edge and you wouldn't know if he was good or bad. I thought Rihana was great in Battleship. It's his turn now.

I'm sorry, I used afro as opposed to african, which I thought would have been less offensive than "black", but I see now that the whole post was a mistake.

 

*assuming the new cast is good* I DONT want to see fans bashing them cause they're getting more screentime/cool scenes than the OT cast. I also dont want their roles to be "just show up for action scenes" while the OT cast gets all the drama, character development, and comedy scenes.

The sad part is....the first parts gunna happen. No doubt. Makes me feel really bad for the new cast cause regardless of how well they do some fans are gunna be pissed at them

 

There's gonna be bitching no matter what happens, just like this forum is full of lamentations despite the fact that this is the most exciting time for SW in15 years.

 

Some fans will never be pleased. No one can hate a franchise as much as it's own fans.
I wouldn't pay much attention to those people.

Yeah its super exciting. I just hope this time around fans are more accepting of the idea that not all of their fan predictions/theories/desires are gunna happen. Who knows we might not never see Leia hold a lightsaber, or have all of episode 7 just star the old cast and then introduce the new cast later * which is ridiculous by the way* or have Luke go into super-ultra-mega-hyper powerful jedi mode. I'm already accepting the idea that most of my own ideas/predictions aren't gunna happen so I'm probably not gunna go into rage mode if anything I want doesn't happen

Yeah I do. Unsuprisingly I am MUCH more concerned/interested in how the new cast does than what the OT cast does. I'm kinda not all head-over-heels over the OT cast returning and off predicting what stuff they'll do cause I'm more focused on the people who will probably be the focus. Easier to not get insane expectations when you understand the limits of your actors rather than hoping these guys wil somehow pull a miracle and be the same cast as they were 30 years ago.

 

I know....I just need reasons to talk

 

I don't want to see; Robotic/Cyborg resurrected long dead characters.

 

I don't want to see horrible trailers before the movie.

 

I agree that for the film to work the emphasis has got to be on the new characters and it's got to surprise us just as ESB did. Give Harrison Ford his wish and kill Han Off preferably early and by Luke whos turned bad, the new characters can pick up the pieces. Am I asking too much?
