The Cincinnati Reds... in 2007. This year, I like the Oakland Athletics.

I have to vote for the Twins, though I honestly believe it will be Oakland.

I fail to see why is it called World series when its participants are all American teams. Perhaps it's a some sort of complex?

I honestly hate baseball, but if I really HAD to pick I'd go for the Detroit Tigers. I don't live in Detroit nor Michigan, but they are an hour away from me.

 

I can't vote for the New York teams b/c I hate them both.

I can't vote for the Cards since they swept the Phillies in the beginning of the season.


So I'm going with the Dodgers, b/c I want Maddux to get another ring.

 

Unfortunateky I'll have to say the Yankees. Being a lifelong Orioles fan it pains me to predict the Yanks.

Nah, Yankees are going to have a long and tough series with Detroit. I'll be surprised if they even get out of it to be honest.


I'm taking the Cards. Carpenter and Jeff Weaver have both looked tough, having two hot pitchers on your staff in the postseason can be enough to carry a team. Plus their bats are coming around.


Not to mention they have the best player in baseball: Pujols.

 

I haven't really been following this season, but I hope the Dodgers or Padres or Athletics win. At least a California team.

 

The name dates back to the 1880s, and international travel was a little tricky then. And it's all a big marketing name anyway.

Simple. The best baseball players in the world play in America. They certainly are not all American however.
