Pretty sure this statement is a ban-able offense.

    Shame. Shame. Shame.

Hey, if you like them then more power to you! ROTS's was very well-written for example.

I just would rather watch the movie :p

It's gotta be Glut and then Kahn.

They started with Foster so there is no going back.

I'm not sure this question can be properly answered until we know how far down the road a 4th trilogy would be.

It's like walking into a book store and saying movies are better.

    Audience, man. Audience!

Haha, well I just figured since SW is a visual medium first it makes a lot more sense just to watch it. :D

You certainly won't see me arguing for less Star Wars books though :p

Visual media? SW hasn't been visual media only in years.

Alan Dean Foster mostly cuz he's got the adaptation trolley moving along just fine for Lucasfilm.

The torture porn got old but his prose was very readable. So there is that.

True but provided there's no torture in TLJ that wouldn't be a problem.

Given how publishing works and where we are in the year, it's rather more likely that the novelisation has been written!

Jim Butcher would be an interesting choice for any Star Wars project. He certainly peppers the Dresden Files with a ton of references(Harry is a big fan).

I will admit it is odd they haven't even announced an author yet, surely the ink is dried on the contracts and they're plugging away, what are they waiting for? When was the R1 novelization authour announced? Maybe around the same timeframe.

It seems to be the MO for the last 3 years now, which makes planning future buys murder because a few SW books will turn up out of nowhere.

To further confuse matters, they should have Reeves and Bonhoff write it. :D

I got a like from jasonfry out of it. I consider it worth it. ;)

Even better would be if the cover were Rey from behind, holding her lightsaber down to the side, holding a holocron (or perhaps a book would be more fitting, given the teaser) in her left hand, with a silhouette of Kylo Ren's mask as the background. [face_devil]

As much as that's an awesome idea, I'd kinda rather he finishes Peace Talks first (and then the DF series).

People are aware a book is not going to be written, edited, proofed, revised and printed in the space of 6 months, right?

It's already written, we just don't know who by.

The question is, when will they tell us? D23 is July 14-16. San Diego Comic Con is July 20-23. Those are the 2 most likely venues for them to tell us, right?
