    Thanos. I think their power levels are usually portrayed as similar. But I think Thanos is not only smarter but far more scheming, and even far more active. And Thanos seems to be able to become near-godlike on a regular basis.

    Thanos is basically Darkseid upgraded to take on the far more dangerous cosmic Marvel universe so, yeah, Thanos.

    Edit: Although, on the other hand, IIRC it's basically canon that Thanos always allows himself to be defeated because he's got some psychological hang up about wielding ultimate power, or something? I think I'll still vote for Thanos just so he gets some love, and because he'd probably beat Darkseid if that was just, like, some facet of his plan, or something.

    Thanos.

    Even though Thanos was Jim Stalin's copy of the New Gods, Thanos always had his power cosmic charm. Darkseid started off as the alien Dr Doom, but without Doom's armor. So it's safe to say that they borrowed heavily from each other.
