Red leader is a "flip flop" who can never lead his people into battle. He does not have the leadership qualities for it.

 

As much as Red Leader sucks at his job, i hate Democrats.

Before we get off topic about how awesome Farraday is, you guys really need to give Red Leader a chance. I mean, he's a HERO. He sacrificed himself so Luke could make the shot that destroyed the Death Star; remember when RL had messed up his shot, and Luke said (basically) "Come over here, we'll cover you" but Red Leader told them to "get set up for their attack run" instead, giving them the chance they needed to destroy the Death Star and save the universe. Think about it, you guys. Red Leader was the man...I still get teary thinking about his death throttle.

He was a pansy, a real man doesn't impact on the surface.
