Who's r5-x2?

Hello, I've just got a question: Apparentley there's a little red droid in Jabba's podrace box in the Phantom Menace called R5-X2. Who is he?, and what happens to him?, because he's not in Return of the Jedi...

 

Hes a little red droid in Jabbas private box that keeps track of his betting.Why would he be in ep6? Is it important?He has a whole room full of droids. He probably destroyed it anyway.
The droid has about .05 seconds of screen time.'Red' in ANH has more screentime than him.

 

Thanks. Is he only in the widescreen DVD or something?, because I can't see him.

It might only be in widescreen.Its also in a picture in the ep1 visual dictionary.When jabba is coming out onto the balcony at the podrace look to the far left and you should see a little red droid.

Jabba would have scrapped it or it could of been destroyed in a unfortunate accident.
