Who's seen the picture up on the Official Site?

It wouldn´t suprise me if the latest pic is of a minor character. I wonder more about the previous photos, especially the one with Amidala.

 

Yeah, I think the same thing. It would surprise me if it is more than a minor character. I do wonder about the Amidala one because I am curious, but I bet it is nothing to get excited about. It doesn't reveal anything, even though it is the most revealing thus far.

 

I think the new photo looks like the teenage mutant version of Nien Nunb.

how come there are old cars and a drive in diner in the new Star Wars Episode II select picture?

 

It's a goof. They inserted that yellow vehicle into the pic...

 

If this isn't a cheap way of stringing the fans along, I don't know what is. It seems GL doesn't have enough pics he wants to release. Maybe he should have waited another year before starting the Select feature.

The background for the new Select photo (Mel's Drive-In) is from "American Graffiti," the movie Lucas made just before ANH. The money Lucas made from "American Graffiti" is what made SW possible. Many of you might know this, but just figured I'd let you know this interesting piece of trivia if you didn't. I recognized it because it's one of my dad's favorite movies (for the record he is a SW fan too).

 

Interesting info, rougeleader16. Then I guess it has it place in connection to Star Wars. Otherwise ( and now I think only Obi Anne will understand me ) I thought GL is filming ep2 in Enviken .

 

Why's everyone getting so upset about these Select Pics? What do actually expect Lucas to show, when it's still almost two years before the film's release? The complaining is even more ironic coming from people who want to stay unspoiled, but wish Lucas would show them more...

Would you rather the official site can the pics and On Location videos completely?

My dad loves American graffiti too, apparently he saw it about 10 times when it came out in theatres. I love the movie myself, I'm gonna go rent it.
