Who's story is it?

Who's story is covered by the Star Wars Saga? The Skywalkers, Palpatine, R2 and 3PO?, the Sith/Jedi?

Any thoughts?

It's the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker. His origins, his fall, his walk in darkness, his redemption.

But ultimately, it's about Palpatine. He made the saga happen.

Seriously, it a story of a particular period in the history of a galaxy - all the characters involved play an important part in the story (esp R2D2 )

 

quietly r2 is the biggest hero ,there are 2 many times he saved the galaxy to count

 

i would say the Skywalker family, the Droids are a close second though

 

As I see it, and this is my personal opinion, its the story of how a man can become a hero and then fall into darkness and how his son can become a hero and redeem his father.

In other words, its the story of Skywalker the father and Skywalker the son.

 

Clearly it's about Davin Felth and Cliff from Cheers.

It's Anakin.

 

Anakin. I believe that Lucas once said that the saga of Star Wars was the story of Anakin SKywalker, from his beginnings and his fall from grace in the PT to his redemption at the end of the OT. That was one of the reasons given for ROTJ being the last Star Wars movie with no episode 7, 8, or 9. With the demise of Vader/Anakin, there would be no point to continuing the saga, for the main character had fallen.

 

I always though that the PT was Anakin's, the OT was Anakin and Luke's, and the trilogy after that would be Luke's.
But since 'ol GL can only live so long, there will be only 6 films, and those will be Anakin's.

 

I should have really stated my opinion, shouldn't I?

To me it's about the Skywalkers but i think GL has a soft spot for Obi Wan and has made it his story as well.

 

Mainly the saga of Anakin Skywalker and his rise and fall to the darkside - although the storyline of the Jedi/Sith and Empire is also a good bet...

 

It's the SkyWalker's. Mostly Anakin though

 

I think it's the story of the entire Skywalker extended family. It's about fathers and sons and father figures. It begins as the story of Obi-Wan and his father figure Qui-Gon, but then Qui-Gon dies and it becomes the story of Anakin and his father figure Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan then dies, and it becomes the story of Luke and his father, Anakin/Vader. But there is the constant theme of fathers and sons that runs throughout the entire series, and it is all an extension of the Skywalker family. I think it is the story of that entire family, not one specific person.

 

How badly C-3PO can annoy everyone.

It's the story of Anakin and his dependancy on a small blue and white droid to save the galaxy.

 

Anakin's and his family's.

 

For me, it's the story of Anakin and Luke and how their fate shaped the galaxy.

 

I think it's about Anakin Skywalker's journey from good-hearted boy...to betrayer...and how the good in him was brought out by his son, in the end.

 

Even though R2D2 is the true hero of the saga (which I agree with completely)
