As a SW fan that actually embarrasses me. It really does.

 

Could the Valorums be involved in some way here? Wasn't Palpatine secretly working/conspiring with an "unidentified member of the Valorum family" just prior to the events of TPM? Could there be a connection here, and a conspiracy going all the way back to before episode 1 that somehow involves this Snoke character and possibly MVS's character as well?!

I'm not sure Daisy Ridley knows who Darth Plagueis is! I dunno, hard to tell. Perhaps she's thinking "who the heck is this Darth Vegas dude?"

 

I think Palpatine might have been gay:

- sorrounded by male Courtiers
- has a P.A. who wears S&M gear
- has a very flamboyant dress sense

 

I'm sure she knows who he is, she saw the Prequels first

 

I know i'm gonna catch some flack for saying this, but i think people are still a little too quick to dismiss Darth Plagueis being involved in some way. I'm not saying I personally want him to be the main bad guy in the ST, or even that he will be the main baddie, but I think there's still a fairly reasonable chance/possibility he will make an appearance at some point. If not Plagueis directly, then maybe mention of him, or perhaps Snoke is connected to him in some way.

 

That gay nazi scene made me feel uncomfortable.

*If* Anakin comes back, as has been loosely rumored as of late, a lunch time thought occurred to me:

The original sequel ideas (per good ole Gary Kurtz - "...a dream to some, AND A NIGHTMARE TO OTHERS!!!!!" - quoting Merlin from Excalibur...) centered on the further adventures of Luke Skywalker. Vader dies in ROTJ, the Emperor escapes. Luke has a sister that's not Leia, but wouldn't catch up to her until Episode 8. Luke, when older and more powerful, finally meets up with Emperor in Episode 9 and destroys him.

Since the PT has shifted the focus of the saga from Luke to Anakin... It got me thinking:

Twins, Twins, Release the Twins.... Twin Suns, Twin Skywalkers, Jango and Boba, oh God - where does it all stop?!?!???!?!??!

Back to the thought:

Since Kasden is back on board, what if the narrative has shifted replacing more of Luke's further adventures to Anakin; what if Anakin has a twin sibling?

Qui Gon never asked Shmi if Ani had any siblings, just who his father was. Always interesting to me was Shmi words at the dinner table when discussing if Anakin would run the race to win money - Shmi says, "He was meant to help you." What if Anakin was actually the good twin that was corrupted, and there was an irredeemable bad twin still out there in the galaxy? If Anakin was indeed created by the Force, would he not naturally possess both elements of it? Or... was he a child of the light side, with an equal parts dark side sibling?

Anakin's self prophecy about coming back to free the slaves; his wish to be the first person to visit every star in the galaxy... never happened. Musings of an 8 year old? Hints of things to come in the ST and beyond?

Snoke? Snoke's a joke. He'll be some Vong, evil conspiring alien version of Tarkin V2.0.

I'm on board an Anakin return if Anakin himself has to defend the galaxy from his own evil legacy and his dark half.

 

So what about Maul? Or are they saving him for Rebels? I know its way out if left field because he be close to 100 years old by now.

I like the concept, but I doubt we'll have any hint of it in VII as I'm fairly sure JJ & many others involved with TFA production are making an effort to avoid all things prequel. This isn't to say it won't be worked into VIII & IX. I'd love for something to be linked back to Plagueis or the Clone Wars.

 

Yeah, after all it is a speculation thread isn't it? Makes more sense than the Anakin twin thought.

I don't think Maul makes it even past ANH. If they do make a Kenobi movie (or trilogy), I think he finally dies (for good) in that film/those films.

The scenario would be him causing problems on Tatooine, forcing Kenobi to intervene before the Empire can intervene and expose Luke's location.

 

What if the Emperor is still out there and is still the big bad pulling the strings . Snoke is his new apprentice and the Knights of Ren are like the Inqusitors or the Massassi Warriors. Snoke could be grooming Kylo to be his apprentice and plotting to overthrow Palpatine.

 

Palps being alive would be silly to me.
