I was joking around, as I don't think we'll see any of the 3 Sith Lords Imentioned......................although they could use Palpatine's exploding blue death wind to be a visual explanation of TheTenebrous Way...

Agreed - DM in the ST would be a terrible, unimaginative idea. I don't watch TCW so I'm not sure how he's used there (other than that he's a cyborg), but as far as I'm concerned, the character passed on in TPM.

I really hope Lflm./Disney does come up with a great villain/series of villains for the ST, instead of re-hashing what we've already seen.

As much hate & vitriol as TPM has gotten over the years, I think a lot of fans agree that Darth Maul was definitely a great villian, and much different than anything we had seen in the OT. Hopefully the ST will come up with equally great, original villains.

 

Why do I get this odd feeling that if the new baddie is like great, they'll give him/her a spin off origin film *that is if its not fully explained in the ST*

If I was Plagueis I'd either return as
A) A total bad ass guy *like John Noble, Chris Cooper, Chuck Norris, Christoph Waltz or that guy who played Voldemort*
B) Something cute and innocent looking like a kitten. Nobody would ever suspect a kitten to be a sith lord
C) 1980s Carrie Fisher to mess with the minds of Luke and Han.

 

What better way for a George and JJ to facilitate a true "ah ha!" moment.... Villain reveals himself as Plagueis in a later movie. Then all the naysayers will be, "No... No... That's not true!! That's IMPOSSIBLE!!!" (Since by Episode 8, they all would have bought into the new villain as being an original, new, exciting bad guy. Rubbing it in our face for years that Plagueis wasn't in the ST.) And we'll have to say, "Search your Darth Plagueis novel, you know it to be true." And they'll all have to say a loud collective, "NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOooooo!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then one by one the naysayers will tumble backwards out of their theater seats into the black abyss...

 

I enjoy your rebuttals Chiznuk. I value your comments. You present your opinions with facts and quotes. Just some fun here during yes, a crazy time in speculation, without any facts or tidbits to build upon. And since you're a regular here in this thread, I wasn't really aiming for you or some of our other regular sparing partners. I'm poking fun at the argument that continues. Though I could care less about ones that swing in here once and defecate all over reason, open-mindedness and imagination, then run off without explaining themselves, their prose, or a better idea.

 

As I said before, people who are not really into SW will not know who Plagueis is.
Making him the big bad of the ST would be (in my opinion) a bad move.
We could have a villain who shares the same characteristics, but we cannot have Darth Plagueis in person as the major villain.
