Okay, I just checked the BC&C site, and yep, they say the release date is Feb 6.

I found a report on some other site, that said that they changed the date so it doesnt clash with 8 Mile or some crap.

We are, now, one of the last countries in the world to get it :(

So everyone is good with the sixth?

Maybe, maybe. I've never actually seen a Trek movie at the cinema, it may be an enlightening experience.

It's the atmosphere you get at a theatre, almost all movies are different in that sort of inviroment.

Not only that but the screen is a tad bigger than your average TV no?

True, *G*, but home TV screens sizes are rapidly increasing in size; look at the recent proliferation of *Thetre style* TV screens.

Maybe soon Cinema style screens will be commonplace?.

    Mayhap, mayhap.

So where exactly is this so called "movie" being screened?

Most people would have trouble fitting a 50ft screen in their house.

Even if you could I dare say that theatre screens will just get bigger still.

I don't think cinema screens will get any bigger anyway. The last ten-twenty years has seen a shift away from the grand old cinemas of the past into the more modern shnit-box multiplexes.

I miss the old cinema in the city :(
I always planned to see ep2 there but they tore the fujucker down six months before :(

Nah the Regents still there Otter. Went to see Spirited Away in cinema 1 downstairs the other day and was blown away by how beautiful it was.

And the seats had been redone and made higher. Oh so comfy!

May the great old cinemas never pass into the west.

I don't think the Regent will ever be torn down. I seem to recall that it is listed in that heritage thingy that stops such things from happening.
