whos your favorite Firefly character

I liked the character of Book, but my reaction to his death was more of a "Oh no! We'll never learn about his mysterious past!" My reaction to Wash's death was one of total rage due to how sudden, shocking, and pointless it was.

 

I just cannot understand why the series was so short, it was so good.

 

^Becuase Fox aried it in the incorrect order, pre-empted it, and din't promote it, therefore resulting in its cancellation.

 

Happens to the best of them.

 

I love the theme song, it is not what you would expect from a sci-fi. It is catchy too!

 

The theme song is sung in my home about 50 times a day. Either by me or my little sister. No one else really likes it that much.

Wash's death was really sad to me. Book was always kinda there but ya never reall needed him IMO.

 

I would have to say River...and then Mal as my favorite...

but I like all of them pretty much

 

Simon, without a doubt- out of all of them, he's the most like the 'classic hero'.

 

I see a lot of Mal love... how often does THE main character get so much love!?

Joss wrote himself a big damn hero...

And Nathan became him...

 

I personally don't feel like any of them is my fav because each one seems sort of...imperfect. I like this about them though, it's what makes them seem more human.

But if I HAVE to choose, then I guess it would be River cuz she kicked some serious butt in the movie.

 

I love all the characters, but I'll go with Kaylee. She has a refreshingly positive attitude, even when the situation is very dire (as in "Objects in Space" and the film).

 

Jayne. I just love smart ass. He has some of the most memorable lines ever too. The chain of command line is great! Plus the dear diary line!

 

I'd have to say Kaylee, because she is just... gah. I love her. 'Nuff said.

 

I would have to say Kaylee, with Wash being an extremely close second.

For guest characters, my favorite is Badger.

 

Mal. Definately Mal.

 

The amazing thing about Firefly is that every character feels essential. There's something special about every one of them.


Of course, without Mal the show could not exist. I have to choose him.

 

A great thing about the series is that it has a great ensamble.

But if I had to pick, it would be close in between Kaylee and Wash. Kaylee just has the happy view on everything, and maybe a little naive, but she does her job well. Wash is just funny, as well as a good pilot, and hey, he wears a freaking hawaiian shirt all the time.

Jayne probably has the best lines though.

 

I totaly agree...it's the ensamble that made it work.

But if I had to pick.....Kaylee......followed by Jayne.
