Why couldn't the Jedi council...

...feel that Palpatine was a Jedi? I thought all Jedi could tell who was and who wasn't with the Force.

 

The Darkside has clouded their vision, so Palps has just masked his Force potential.

 

palpy was just that powerful he hid his force powers from them

 

Okay, then who trained him? Do the Sith have a little training center like the Jedi do?

Obviously Palp had to learn to use his powers. And, if he was that powerful, is he more powerful than Yoda and Mace?

 

well i will say yes palpy is stronger than both of them ,but then again its hard to say but as far as who trained palpy i am not sure i think he came across the sith teachings and taught hislelf

 

I'd like to see some sort of backstory on him. It's always bothered me that not one of the Jedi can figure out he's Sith.

 

you have to undertsnd thats part of his skill he has to mask his power or he would not have gotten what he got, woithout hiding the fact that he is a sith lord ,i do agree i want some info on palpys early days too.

 

Unless of course the theory that Palp is a clone to Sidious holds true.

Looking back, I'm curious if Yoda has some idea about all of this. Doesn't he pretty much know in Jedi or Empire (somewhere along there) that all of this was going to happen but really there was nothing he could do to stop it?

 

yoda knew the darkside had came back ,and imo may have sensed something strange with palpy ,but as with yoda "meditate on this i will" so we may never know
