Darth Vader hops into his own ship at the end of Star Wars IV: A New Hope of the Original Trilogy. That saves Vader's life. But why didn't Darth Sidious hop into a fighter, too? Was Sidious too busy taking a bubble bath during that battle of Yavin? Did Sidious ever fight? In the six films, we see Sidious zap Mace Windu, fight Yoda, & then we see Sidious zap Luke Skywalker. But that is it? Is that all Sidious ever did?

I know Sidious had to pretend to be a good guy in the first three films (the Prequel Trilogy), but did Sidious get fat after that? Is Sidious incapable of flying air-planes? Is Sidious too lazy or too old or does he fight at times or what?

It's good to be king (or emperor).

Palpy has his minions to do his dirty work.

I would remake the six films and have Sidious fight in each of the six films.

That's what the EU is for- Sidious gets fights- but they're mostly part of missions for his own Sith Master.

I have read the Plagueis book which talks about Sidious, but maybe I should go find more books to look at. Yes, that is what I love about the Extended Universe. Because I love lightsaber duels.

True. I read parts of the Plagueis book and listen to the rest of it a few times on audio books.

Seriously? Locked. The Saga forum is for serious, saga-spanning discussion. Since your main postings seem to be spamming the forums with polls and random crazy talk, you're going bye-bye for awhile.

The Emperor influences the entire Battle of Endor from his chair. He doesn't need to get hands on.

Also when the original trilogy was made, the Emperor was an all-powerful sorcerer who had no need for a lightsaber.

Besides, note the calls Luke's lightsaber, 'a Jedi weapon'. It was exclusively the weapon of a Jedi. Vader had one because he used to be a Jedi.
