why didnt vader

    Anakin was interested in power, Luke wasn't. It wouldn't make sense to follow the same technique. Luke was deeply interested in learning about his father and following in his footsteps, so Vader played the family card.

    The very reason Luke was left with Owen--and Leia with Organa--was to put them in a different situation than Anakin was.

    Luke was with hardworking farmers, and he had a naive appreciation for the greater things.

    Leia was with a rebellious and contrary senator.

    Anakin was a slave who was constantly repressed and in a tragic situation. He also had the forces of Destiny to contend with.

    Why didnt Vader seduce Luke the way he was seduced by Sidious?

    He would have to seduce Luke in a way that would be tempting to Luke. Luke was more interested in over powered converters that power over the masses.
    Luke learned to live in a humble way not one of extravagance.

    On an end note. I am glad that Anakin/Vader did not seduce Luke the way he did with Padme.

    The Emperor's methods are more clever than Vader's were. Once Luke accepted Vader as his father, Vader would try to use that as his ticket for Luke to join him and overthrow the Emperor. Of course it was Vader who ended up being seduced...by the light side of the Force. :)
