Why do Europeans hate Bush so much?

Lock and redirect me to another thread if this has already been done.

So, I'm in German for the next month here and virtually every person here hates Bush. Thus far I really haven't come across any particularly good reasons--even one of my host brothers told me that most Germans don't have a reason, they just hate him.

In fact, when I went to a concert here there were so many anti-Bush t-shirts that it seemed (to me at least), more-so like a trend or something popular that's considered "cool".

Some of them give reasons (ie, the war in Iraq), but I found those a little too vague and uninformed to consider them an intelligent, researched opinion. So, basically, is there really any justification in most of Europe's hatred toward a single man?
