Why do the Special Editions have to be all or nothing?

90% of the changes I can tolerate.

Hell, most of them I like (at least on ANH and ESB).

But there are three I simply cannot tolerate:

    Greedo shooting first.
Vader's extra scenes in the climax of ESB (TOTALLY ruins the pace, not to mention the music)
    and worst of all...

    JEDI ROCKS.

Sorry, but I'll take 5,000 Greedos shooting first over Jedi Rocks any day. It makes Jar Jar look downright lovable. Ugh.

    Just don't get me started.

In all seriousness I only ever began to appreciate the climax in esb after seeing the se scenes of vader's journey to the executor.

I am also very apprectiative and supportive of the additional scenes of Vader departing from Cloud City for The Executor. It gives a better sense of continuity for the character, and not just have him go from Bespin to The Executor, with only a few scenes in between..

Why do the Special Editions have to be all or nothing?

Because we Star Wars fans feel that these are OUR films and since we have spent nearly 30 years of our lives slaving over their creative process, therefore, we can make any changes we so desire or wish regardless of how their real creator thinks or feels.
