Why do Walrus man and the other guy attack Luke in ANH?

    There was another one of those "fryin pan mashed faced" dudes smokin a hooka. when i first saw anh in the theatre i thought it was the same guy and was confused.

    Walrus's name was Ponda Baba and fryin pan was Dr. Evanzen. The dr. was involved in weird experiments on unaware patients. The essential guide to characters describes him as being drunk while talking to Luke.
