Seriously can someone explain that. Especially since the Aussies hate it so much.

Is there some sort of rule by the govt that says only fosters be exported.

Why not Coopers or Redback, Or some other good ales.

And while your at it, can you send us the Cougar girls.

We will trade you for the doublemint twins?

It's a diversionary tactic. If the rest of the world tasted our 'real beer' we'd be holding of invasion forces from half the world.

Safer to let the world think that Australian beer stinks. Hence Fosters...

I know you can get VB in the UK.

Like Jamie Oliver who has it in a wine glass.

Well I heard that the beer in the IS is bad anyway, so maybe they actually LIKE it.

I'm not really a beer person BTW even though I went to a beer appreciation night in my first year at uni.

I for one....do not care for Fosters....give me a Newcastle or a Black and Tan! It is true....most of the main stream beers brewed here in the states is crap. They lack flavor and color! The worst I can think of is Millers Beer! [face_sick]

That's part of the problem with most US beers. It's not the brewing process, but rather the shoddy ingredients we've got to work with.

It's the same reason the only foreign beers in Taiwan were, IIRC, Fosters, Heineken, Budweiser, Asahii and Taiwan Beer - there's export beers, which are crap and there's local beers, which are selfishly hoarded.

Beer exports are Australia's way of flipping Americans off on a global scale.

Apparently the Fosters they get in America is made in Canada. [face_thinking]
