ST Why does Disney do it with Super Hero's & Pirares !

Avengers : Age of Ultron , Release Date : May 1 , 2015 ( filming starts February 2014 )

Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Men Tell No Tales Release Date : July 15 , 2015 ( filming starts January 2014 )

Star Wars : Episode VII : No Title & No Official , Release Date ( Filming Starts February 2014 )

All 3 movies are under the Disney banner ,

I find it ridiculous & frustrating that this can occur , Star Wars is suppose to be a bigger deal than Pirates of the Caribbean & yet it now has an official release date & title & yet Star Wars has neither & looks like neither will be revealed for some time to come !!!

 

Because Lucasfilm is still doing their own thing. They will control the release of information, not Disney.

 

Yes but Disney own Lucas film & paid $4 billion dollars to do so they should take control & release some dam information or there will be riots soon .....

 

Disney can release the news whenever they darn well please.

 

But Disney does not do that. This isn't the Eisner-era. The Dark Times are over. Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm operate independently. That's why their product is still good. Disney lets them work the way they want to work. The reason why we have Marvel release dates is because MARVEL set them, not Disney...

 

Because anticipation creates interest. The more interested the more money. It's really that simple IMO.

 

Because for all intents and purposes the new Star Wars films have only been in development for a year while Pirates and Marvel have had longer gestation periods?

It's no secret that Episode VII is being rushed into production. We'll get information as soon as Disney get the basics sorted. They don't want to release placeholder titles and dates and risk the wrath of the fanbase and negative media coverage if it all ends up getting changed.

 

They have a release date. They know it, and other studios know it. It just hasn't been announced yet. That's why there is NO OTHER MOVIE scheduled in May 2015 after Avengers 2 and before the Paramount cartoon on Memorial Day weekend. No one is scheduling their movies to go up against Star Wars.

 

But why not announce it if they do?

Why all this hush hush ....

I don't think they meant to blow D23.
I think something may be up....
Maybe a script issue....someone not signed us?

Maybe Latino Review will let us know soon?

 

They're saving everything for October/November.

They'll announce the cast, the start of filming for Jan/Feb, and the release date.

 

Not really concern any more. As I said in another thread. The old saying things come in 3s. First we got the Marvel's Raccoon story,then the Pirate 5 Title, maybe Star Wars news is next. (Although being filmed in 35mm is considered news.)
