Why isnt there an election on Moderators?

Those who are helpful and have been here a while do stand a fair chance of getting promoted.

 

When there's an opening for a moderator position, gather up all potential candidates and throw them into a lion's den. The one who survives has the blessing of Jehovah and becomes one of the almighty Moderators.

Alternatively, we could keep the system that we have now.

Well, if we're being compared to the Empire, can I put in an order to have "telekinetic kill troll" added to the modding tools.

 

I want candidates to fight it out in a circular pit, armed with nets and tridents, surrounded by aliens. Just so I can bet 100 kwatloos on the newcomer.

Well, that's how we currently get our JCC Mod candidates.
