Here is how I think jedi kight 4 should be
The game should scan your console or PC to see if you were Dark or light in JA

How about if you chose the Darkside in JA you play as Jaden starting his own new empire out of the remnint Empire.

You attack centain planets such as Danthomir, Ithor, and Yavin 4

During the attack on Yavin you turn kyle's new appreintence over to the darkside
Then you kill a bunch of weak jedi apprientinces ,and fight Luke Skywalker at the end. You are about to kill him when kyle steps in. You fight him for a while then your new apprientience picks you up on a stolen shuttle and you escape.

You conquer a few more worlds then Kyle sneaks on board your ship. You then play as Kyle and chose to ethier defeat Jaden and turn him to the light or kill him.

If you were light you play as Jaden and Kyle (and luke on yavin 4) defending the New Republic against a former apprientience's empire
You then turn the apprientce over to the lightside

    Its a work in progress

dude you should read my first post on page 8, my idea simplifies the start up process.
When your done tailoring you character and saber, you hit choose sides, and you can either by light or dark. Whhen this happens, you click the 15 points to the forces you want.
If you choose more dark side forces, already the aura setting will lean more towards dark side, though the way you execute each board and the various AI encounterment, you can rebalance your arau towards the light side(or dark), and you're off.

Jaden is returnig to the academy from a past culture negotiation dispute, to take on his first official student. During his ride there, his ship is tracked an shot down by a well established bouty hunter.
Jaden lands on a part desserty part forrest planetand must repairthe damage by getting parts at a nearby settlement.(the openingboard). While enroute tothe city, creatures droids and scoundrals hired by the same people whohiredthis mysterious bounty hunter are the ambient obsticles of the board. Jaden mustuse his powers to fend off attacks and dispatch enemies.
Upon reaching the settlement, jaden must engage in commerce withlocal parts dealer for the parts needed to repair the ship. However, the dealer only has a power coupling and circularter. Jaden must find a buffer that was stolenfromthe shop and find a local to trade for a converter.
Once jaden finds the buffer lying on the ground in the wilderness, a scoudral attacks, yet jaden musn't kill him(optional), instead disarm him and knock him down with push. Once the scoundral is defeated, a sith appears to challenge jaden. When jaden defeats the sith, a cut scene apears after mind tricking the scoundral.
CUTSCENE: Jaden and the commoner are walking back to the shop as the keeper yells at the theif but the theif tries to explain that it wasn't natural for him to go about stealing parts. He proclaims that the sith who put him up to it had him under a spell.(end scene).
Jaden then must trade to a local in a cantena, for a converter.
Jaden heads back to the ship and uses bind to help aid in repairing the ship(more bind power makes repair happen faster. And repairs for vehicle weapons and arms, etc....becomes a method of maintenece during gameplay.)

Upon jadens arrival to the academy, he is debreifed by luke and kyle about what happened. Luke ammends jaden for his service to the keeper(though kyle and luke are greater commending if death was not the players initial option.)
Then luke leaves kyle to go over the details of jadens first ,ission with a student.
Jaden and his new part time aprentice are sent on a protection mission to a remote republic planet.
The details of the mission are to stand guard as a queen meets with another leader to sign a new treaty backed by a trade settling deal. Though in the cut scene there are small hints that the negotiations were set up to make the deal to be signed a flawed one(in that if the leader dies the deal is void.)
While escorting the queen back to her ship, the guards come under attack as numerous enemies appear from nearby rocks and tree lines.
Jaden must fend off the attackers along side half of the guards, as the aprentice guards the queen with the other half of the guards.
After the attack, the is a cutscene of 3 ships leaving.
The mother ship of the queen, a fighter escort and jadens new ship. After a breif recap on further protection agreements and contact confermations, jaden is permised to return to the academy with the assurance the rest of the queens trip was to be a safe one.
Upon returning to the academy, kyle congradulates the aprentice and debreifs jaden. If the player chose light side or nuetral powers and method, the responses from kyle are peak in acceptence. If some lesser executions were performed, the responses are average, and if the executions were dark side majored, the responses are commending yet cautioning.
After that, the player gets to add points upon the next mission which is a set of missions, given by both kyle and luke. some include accompaniment by others(even multiple) while others like investigation and infiltration are solo. Kyle only joins on latter very major missions as luke does with the last most and most important. I plan to develope this storyline further. I feel comfortable with this short insight for now.

You're writing is kind of hard to read you know. The idea sounds good( I thikn, it might not be. I only caught the part about the start up which sounded nice.) But you dont need to post a walkthrough for your entire idea here. Just post game mechanics and a synopsis of the plot.

No offense Kurioku but PLEASE go work for LucasArts. Seriously, your ideas would make the jedi knight games so much better. All of your ideas is something I think the JK games need. To tell you the truth, I don't know why the developers don't use those ideas. With very deep gameplay mechanics like yours, the JK series will be fully revived.

Anyone else think the lightsaber resitant biomechanical monsters of NJO would make good enimies?

So would any animal I geuss. I think if you need to be jaden, there should be too diffrent campains based on your actions in the last game.

This thread fell in quality fast.

Jedi Knight 4 will not be released, so far as we know, at all. No announcements of it even existing have been released, and all of this is guesswork.

The lightsabre resistant biomechanical monsters i assume you refer to are the Yuuzhan Vong. Speculation on an NJO game or a Jedi Knight game set during the NJO has been rampant since 1999, however, since the NJO is now over, it remains highly unlikely that there will ever be one.

If there is a JK4, expect either more of the same, or something utilising the Nintendo Revolution's unique controller design. However, as Lucasarts have all but dropped Nintendo, i would think more of the same is more likely.

Actually the NJO books being done would raise the chance of an NJO era game. I'd like to see that, maybe somewhat like BattleFront. But a JK4 NJO era would rock.

I think if LA does make a JK4 it will be like other games coming out now that incorporate in FPS, Flight & 3rd person adventure.

That interview posted not long ago stated that LA was going to blur the game genre lines more in the future.

I never liked the First person shooter in the JK games. Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was cool because you made your own person, and you went to the Academy which rocked. I'd like a game where you go to classes and climb the ranks....and it should be set in or post NJO.

The revoloution is an unbeleivable disappointment. I like(d) the GC's controller. I thinkLA will start just developing for Microsoft and Sony, which is a smart move.

other than another cliche mario or legend of zelda game, i dont think anything else is gonna come out for nintendo, they just dont have it like they used to

The interesting thing about this thread is that there seems to be a great debate going on -

    Nintendo lovers vs. Nintendo bashers

and the only people taking part are Nintendo bashers.

You say give up Nintendo, i say give up bashers. If you feel you'd all like to get together and have a go at Nintendo then feel free to. I couldn't agree more that Nintendo's days are numbered, as least as a console developer, but as for now, i'd advise that you get back on topic and take the bashing you have for Nintendo to a console wars thread.

You're flogging a dead horse, and it's killing what could be an interesting topic.

All developers talk great about the Revolution and I am pretty sure the new Controller will be a hit once you try it.

You guys fail to see the implications of the new gen systems. First of all, Microsoft will not survive in the game industry. The XBox 360 has poor quality in all the videos I have seen. The graphics are barely better than anything we can get now. They are releasing too early, and have nothing innovative. Sony, while better than Microsoft, is merely improving the power of their system, forgoing gameplay. They too, have very little that is innovative, and there are no big release titles as of yet. What is far more likely is we will see unimaginative sequels, and more perfectly average racing and shoot 'em up games.

Is it over for Nintendo? Hardly. You all forget how resiliant Nintendo is. Need I remind you that the sales of the DS FAR overpower the sales of the Sony PSP. Nintendo also has another gameboy now, the Mini, and the new one, the Game Boy Evolution, expected some time next year. As for the Revolution, while the controller is odd looking, it is by far the most innovative system, and the ability to play with Gamecube controllers makes it all the more appealing. The internet network for Revolution looks promising, as does the planned ability for gamers to download past n64, SNES, and NES games directly to the Revolution, for free, or a maximum charge of one dollar. The Revolution also has some big name release titles, includidng a possible Zelda, Metroid, MArio, and Smash Bros. release. You all underestimate what Nintendo has here.

In my opinion, the results of the new releases is already becoming clear. It is likely Microsoft will be pushed from the market, and Sony will be hanging on for dear life. In the past, Nintendo has always come out on top of their competition, and I expect it will be the same with the 05-06 releases.

I've said it before and I'll say it again[face_frustrated] JA was JK3.I did find a very big mistake in JA.On one mission you have to fight Nogri. Both Outcast and JA take place after the JA trilogy. The Nogri have already joined the New Republic,so why are you fighting them?
