To me it seemed like that in all his books so far. Could be wrong though.

Point. What do you think a Palpatine-novel could be about, darklordoftech? Personally I think a novel about him as a senator and hidden Sith would be most interesting.

He enjoys writing Palpatine, that much is clear, but I don't think Luceno has ever written Palpatine as anything but a villain. I mean, you can't read Plagueis and say Palpatine comes off as a good guy at all.

No doubt. I meant that maybe Luceno wouldn't focus enough on Palpatine's weaknesses that brought about his downfall. His overconfidence and that he commits serious tactical blunders occasionally.

You will find that it is you who are mistaken -- about a great many things.

I think it's more that Luceno enjoys writing the Galactic Senate, which Palpatine has his fingers deeply entrenched in.

    I can't wait for
    STAR WARS
    SHEEV
    by James Luceno
If it ever happens, that is. Honestly, though I'd rather he do Dooku first

    - recruiting and manipulating the Nebula Front, the Trade Federation, Dooku, the Separatist Council, and the Senate (Sidious chatting with the Nebula front, Dooku joining Sidious, and the freeing of the Separatist leaders are musts for me)

    - masking his presence in The Force and his face

    - recruiting advisors and Inquisitors

    - Finding out who destroyed the Death Star and, upon finding out, trying to prevent Vader from finding out.

    - creating and putting into motion his (ultimatey failed) plan for Endor and the Death Star II

Except for the ending, pretty much all of Darth Plagueis.

I certainly would be up for a sequel to Darth Plaguies, seeing how DP is on my to 5 of favorite star wars books. Plus, James Luceno is my favorite star wars author, so that would help in my excitement for a Emperor book.

You know, I would like to see him do a Dooku book too. I always thought the character had some great potential.

The Tarkin novel says that Palpatine
plans to "unlock the secrets of the dark side" in a Sith shrine beneath the Imperial Palace once the Death Star is complete.
Perhaps that comes from the Palpatine novel that Luceno has in mind?

Me too. I'd like to know more about Sifo-Dyas, the ordering of the Clone army, and how Sidious introduced and seduced Dooku.
