Why not chop their limbs off?

    Whenever the Seperatists capture a Jedi, like Eeth Koth or Adi Gallia or Evan Piel, why don't they just lop their arms and legs off, ensuring they cannot possibly pull off one of those frequent and oh so troublesome heroic escapes?

    Why don't they?

    For the same reason that the second Death Star had a shield generator on the forest moon of Endor.
