I can only think of Ackbar, who are the plenty of others?

I don't think that proves anything, we see aliens in the Emperors throne room, (even though humanoid)

The other Mon Calamari- as well as the Sullustans like Nien Nunb, Lando's copilot for the mission.

    ahh, yes I suppose so.

Well it might be implied that the aliens in the empire get the jobs that we don't see like, secret services or advisors :p or even the emperors pilot ;)

(nah, not even I believe that )

Death Star does have a Chagrian on the gunnery crew of a Star Destroyer.

There's probably an element of graduation- with the aliens Palpatine and the like are most comfortable with, getting cut a bit more slack than, for example, Wookiees. Chewie's been established as an Imperial slave whom Han rescued for quite a while.

Wookiees aren't rare, considering they part of the slave population working on the death star. As for the walking carpet remark, Leia is a smart ass.

Might also have to do with stress- after being tortured, watching her planet die, and then being through a couple of near-death experiences (being shot, being crushed) it's not surprising she's a little cranky at this point.

then i'm dumb too since movies don't tell me ;)

    you hold to EU

    I don't

    neither of us are wrong

in the movie section I go by films alone

in the EU section I go by EU (this to me is common sense)

I hold to all of it, not just the EU, no matter what section I'm in.

Were you talking about the Emperor's courtiers? They're human.

I could have sworn they were alien with their severe pale (almost green) skin and long faces

*sinks back into corner on my percieved lack of star wars knowlege on obscure characters ~*

    :p

    hey!! they look human there

    [face_worried]

I should get my DVD's changed, or buy the blu-rays or something :p

but yeah, with all that said, people in this thread are most probably right, from movie evidence the empire does seem to not be involved with anything non-human, apart from bounty hunters :p

(see even I can change my opinion when enlightened ;) )

In the EU, they're willing to make use of some aliens- but there's a general tendency to mistreat them.

Seems like a reasonable compromise between "no aliens serving the Empire at all" and "there's no anti-alien policy at all".

It depends on where you are in the galaxy, too. The real horrors of Imperial xenophobia all happened out in the Outer Rim. The core, not so much.
