Why so quiet?

Where's all the enthusiasm for new meets that was here a while ago gone? Hmmmm?

I assume many people are on holiday or something


But there are meets being planned though in the meet-up ideas thread

 

Yes, but meets being planned is all that ever happens here, no one actually meets though!!

Being away on holiday is no excuse!

 

We had a big meet-up in July at the John Williams concert, that was fun
And we had a meet-up to see Batman Begins at the IMAX


But since then we've been trying to think of other interesting meets to do

Problem is there seems to be no-one around to finalise the plans

 

Well, I'm lurking around, trying to find the right thread to post my dribble in! The WA forum is a bit quiet too. We have the usual "planned meet" thread. At the mo, we have the Trivial Pursuit obession, where we've had a couple of get togethers to play some games. We also have a BBQ in a couple of weeks. I started a SW story, but it seems to have died in the butt Never mind.

Anyways, I'm posting here in trying to slowly get to know people and hopefully meet up when I visit next year.

Sweet! I'm sooo looking forward to visiting next year. Hopefulyy this trip will be a lot better than the last time I visited. Best friend stood me up - needless to say I'm no longer friends with her.

I know many people who always say they would've liked England more if the weather was nicer

 

The weather wasn't too bad (except for when it raied at the cricket). The only reason why I hated the holiday was my ex-best friend said I could stay with her and in five weeks I never saw her once. I didn't book any accomodation. I learn from bad experiences. And this time round, I'll be able to catch up with fellow Star Wars geeks

Its a big shop in London that sells lots of stuff from various cult things like Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR etc

Anything you'd want they'll probably have, and if not, they can order it for you or tell you where you might be able to get it

 

Serious? I'm not that much into collecting, but I'll have to check it out. I saw a few things, but for the real sights, I may need a guide

There is a Forbidden Planet in Croydon aswell (South London) though nowhere as big as the main London one.

How much of your story did you do, JN? If it isn't too long, I'll t5ake a look and give you some feedback to help you continue?

I must apologise for my lack of activity - I've had a few foibles to iron out these last few weeks, but rest assured I am back.......

That is link to the Star Wars story on the WA forum. Forgive our Arnie thing going there, but we watched a comedy show called "Speedmouse" by the Umbilical Bros, so quotes came from there. The first story has finished, but the second story is still in progress.

 

I'm always lurking. I guess since ROTS, I've not had that much to say. Not long until the DVD now though.
