ST Why was Chewie's gun so powerful?

JJ, had to have his happy, not believable, ending. They stressed it throughout so you would think Kylo was massively injured. His movement and force powers were intact though.

 

I disagree RENs movement was not intact. He had a hole in his abdominal cavity and was bleeding out and probably going numb. He was hitting himself to help regain feeling and his mobility.

 

I think he was hitting himself to kind of pump up the darkside in him. He was doing spins and jumps in that fight.

 

My son has one. It's pretty cool.

 

Possibly but it looked to be more of a desperate act than a ritual act to pump himself up.

 

Yeah this was a weird bit. Like, the physics were kind of wonky overall in the movie for stuff like blasters.

 

If we had subtitles for Chewie speaking Wookiee, they'd say, "This is the Kashyyyk 565 magnum power bowcaster, the most powerful handcannon in the galaxy. Do you feel lucky today, punk?"

 

Chewie probably got a fresh supply of explosive bolts for his bowcaster.

 

I loved it! I immediately started using it in Battlefront, and yeah, it is powerful and can blow enemies back. I love doing that in the game. And he most likely modified it, as has been said hundreds of times in this thread no doubt.

 

Please tell me you saw my "shoot a stormtrooper's head clean off" comment. Excellent!!

 

You are correct. For visual comparison, check out the Wookies in Episode III. They are massive, broad shouldered and taller. George Lucas is the one who said Chewbacca was a small Wookie (I believe he actually referred to him as a runt).
