It was a pretty good duel, I presume it was deleted because Ventress got the better of Anakin (which wouldn?t really fit in with the rest of movie, espically the Dooku vs Anakin main event) is this correct? Also is it still considered to be Canon?

Probobly for time purposes, but it is still intact in the clone wars novel.

The deleted scenes belong back in the movie. Period!

I love the CW movie, but so I would love it even more :D

Like IluvJarJar said, it was proably for time. Also, it was proabably for pacing issues, since they did have alot of action scenes in that movie. I would actually like to see how the episodes would play as originally intended.

It was very exciting to see that all of the deleted scenes on the DVD were....very exciting!

However, I think they were trying to keep the film (a) around 90 minutes, and (b) trying to keep it lean and mean - so that great duel unfortunately got cut.
