So NV Wiggles on the Radio

I know at least one of you know who the Wiggles are. Well on my way to work this morning, I put the radio on 92.3, and they're playing the Wiggles "Fruit Salad" song. This was a bit of a shock. They're doing a fund raiser in which you can pay an amount of money and they'll play whatever song you want. Someone payed $650 dollars to play the Wiggles. I thought that was pretty funny.

 

that is very funny. Fruit Salad is a classic, catchy tune.

Today, I just went to the kickoff to their 2005 United States tour. (I was there with my son and wife).



It was pretty cool. Captain Feathersword can fly!

 

WOOHOOOO!!! Captain Feathersword can fly? Oh man, I'd like to see that...

I think I need to crawl in a hole now.

 

If they had Wiggles t-shirts in adult sizes, I would so wear one. But they don't.

 

Okay, what the flying frak is a wiggle?

 

Oh thank god. I thought I was the only one. I second that question.

 

The Wiggles are an Australian kids show that is gaining worldwide popularity.

 

Yeah but they cant be as cool as say Kim Possible

 

No, they're not as cool as Kim Possible. They're on par with Barney, but much better than Teletubbies and whatever the heck those Boohbahs things are. I'm surprised more kids don't have nightmares after watching those things.

 

They are not on par with Barney, they far surpass Barney. That's like saying Star Wars is comparable to Lost in Space.

They actually made fun of Barney in the live concert.



They have overtaken Nicole Kidman to become the #1 Entertainers out of Australia.


They have a remarkably weak website, found here

In terms of entertainment worth anything for children, these guys are it. They all met while studying early childhood education and development, and they formed this group, and it took off from there. Kids (and adults) are mesmerized by them.

 

Not to mention 3 of the 4 of them are actually teachers.

 

and their dinosaur is not named Barney, but is named Dorothy and is HAWT!




Well, for a dinosaur. Sort of. Okay, just kidding.


But she is cooler.
