"...will conquer Vader and his Emperor..." - Kompelling Koincidence, or Kakamamie Krud?

As Yoda speaks those fateful words, forekasting the phuture, Luke Skywalker reaches into his X-wing and pulls out...

...a snake.


Whether or not you find kompelling koincidences between this Saga and the one kronikled by the Holy Bible (Virgin Birth, 12-person Kouncil, and so on and so forth & suchlike...)

...you must admit it's intriguing that Luke removes a serpent from his spacekraft during this particular zpeech.


A snake, not unlike the manifeztation of Zatan in the Book of Jenesiz.

Should we have forezeen that Luke would remove another "zerpent" b-fore his journey was komplete?

That's an interesting idea - the serpent is a symbol of temptation in a lot of stories. Well spotted.

 

I don't recall Skywalker pulling a snake out of his X-Wing though.

 

Yeah, Luke does pull a snake from one of the engines.

The biblical references are rather blatant--whether GL did that consciously, I don't know, but the entire saga is a biblical reference basically.


Virgin birth--Jesus and Anakin
12 Apostles--12 Jedi Council members
God's only son is a savior--so is Anakin's only son

 

Since no one has ever commented on this, I'd say it's a coincidence. An extremely cool coincidence though

 

And both are widely loved works of fiction.
