Will George be there ?

I haven't heard anything about him being there other than judging a fan film that could have been done from anywhere.

The best we can hope for is some sort of video (live/taped) at the opening ceremonies or something. No word on any of that yet, if it's even a possiblity.

 

Thats just not right. He should feel obligated to be there.

 

From what I've heard, he has an aversion to large crowds, especially those that would mob him. He's done a lot for all of us, I have no problem whatsoever with him not wanting to come.

 

It would kind of like Stan Lee showing up at a Marvel comic convention, although I don't even think that fits because he's not really the sole force behind Marvel. We all know he would get mobbed, plus I'd rather have him working on Episode III and maybe he'll find time to make sure Lucas Arts doesn't screw up Bounty Hunter and Knights of the Old Republic.

 

I actually met Stan the Man at a con in Chicago six or seven years ago. He wasn't mobbed or anything, fan just said hi and left. Later he went to the wrong booth to sign autographs.

 

I'd rather have George working on AOTC/EpIII.

 

I was hoping for a last-minute GL announcement, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

I wasn't at C1, but I think I read in the Insider that he had a videotaped speech saying that he was starting Episode 2 and was too busy to make it.

 

Well I know a guy named George will be there. He looks an awful lot like Lucas too. But he's not. I guess that will just have to suffice.

 

Sweet. Can I have his autograph?

 

We can proably arrange something at the Indy Knights table...

Ok, I think I read somewhere that he said he was going to be going right into Indiana Jones 4 after Ep2 was all done. I think I read it on Yahoo or something like that. Now if that's true I would have no problem with him not being there. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

 

I can deny it.

He and Rick get 1 week off after the premiere of AOTC before they start on EpIII, the rest of the crew and concept dudes get 2 weeks off.

I don't need too...all he needs is to make it a little greyer and boom, we have a George Lucas look-alike.

Flannel isn't a problem, either. I've seen him wear that too.
