I'm thinking Kes and Shara are both killed at some point in the line of duty when Poe is very young. And Leia ends up raising him - with or without Han.

I was actually referring to Leia's last name being Organa instead of Skywalker.

She was raised by the Organa family and took their last name.

We, as an audience, did not learn her true heritage until RotJ.

Kylo Ren has made Kitster his best friend. Which is unbelievably wizard if you consider it.

    Mordred fits Driver perfectly.:p
if it's set 30 years later and Driver/Kylo is 31, what if he was born before VI.[face_laugh]

they could have been together while Han was in carbonite and when they didn't know they are brother/sister. The age of Kylo would fit for it. Everything would be Obi-Wan's/Yoda's fault, since they didn't tell Luke early enough that they are related. [face_whistling]

One small problem with this theory::

LUKE You're wrong, Leia. You have that power too. In time you'll learn to
use it as I have. The Force is strong in my family. My father has
it...I have it...and...my sister has it.

LEIA I know. Somehow...I've always known.

She also claimed to remember her mother who died when she was real young. Not believing everything that she's said

Has anyone considered the possibility of Luke's love insterest being introduced in a flashback in VIII? If Rey is Luke's daughter, we could see the full story in the same way as with Kylo's in TFA.

    Maybe she is even alive...

It's certainly a possibility. After all, this is a trilogy. We're not going to get everything all at once in TFA. It's going to play out a bit slower than that, so if Luke is Rey's father, then the specifics of who her mother is can definitely be explored in future films.

Exactly. I've seen too many times people try to argue against Rey being Luke's daughter by saying that it would make the plot too convoluted or too much to explain in the movie. But we have two more movies to give some detail about Rey's mother/Luke's wife, and you really don't need all that much. Perhaps the flashback shows Luke kneeling over the body of a dead woman. We don't even see her face, but Luke's hand reaches and holds hers lovingly as his hooded head bows low. That may be all we need to insinuate that this was Luke's wife, not just a student.

Think back to A New Hope, we got a very brief recollection of Luke's real father from Obi-Wan (which turned out to be filled with mistruths) and we got no explanation about Luke's mother, and you know what the movie was great anyway.

Could Luke have simply created Rey using the Midicholorians?

Now that would be pretty wizard. But I doubt that the concept of Midicholorians will be used in the film (rather, it'll probably be avoided). J.J. isn't much of a fan of the prequels if I recall correctly. So if Rey is a Skywalker daughter, she'll probably have a mother.

if they were mentioned, they should explain them better so that all the fans with their knickers in a wad could actually understand that they don't demystify the Force itself they only explain why someone can be trained to use it and others can't.

I think most fans understand that they demystify "force sensitivity," not the force itself. If one were to insert them into the appropriate place in the OT, the best place is the trench run:

Vader: "The midichlorian count is strong with this one..."
